It's over, hurrah.
I survived, staying at home in my own home was soooooo the best idea.
I cooked and baked and sat and ate and drink and was merry with out any of the stress.
Watched Tin Man christmas day sitting on the sofa while doing the sprouts and other vegs with the bowl for the peelings in my lap. This also meant we got to watch all of dr who with no distractions.
The kids are pleased with their presents, I got to see family on better terms on the 24th and on the 27th with less pressure and it's like a bit of a cocoon around myself atm.
Bit like hermitting and just hanging out with the kids playing card games, board games and xbox. Even brougth the xbox up to my Mams on the 27th and inflicted singing on people with the LIPS game.
It was wonderful to see those who could pop to the pub on the 23rd, some of whom never said they were coming just arrived and got hugs.
No idea how new years will run yet, have been invited to a wonderful late supper with the promise of games afterward and to see in the new year in good company, unfortunately due to issue in work and the weather my
co parent has no idea if he's finished work at 8 or at midnight or if he's going to see his parents that evening or not. /headdesk so I know where I would like to be, if I can get there remains to be seen.

And there is somthing about the festive season which isn't quiet right with out a bit of that little matchstick girl feeling, the there for but for the grace of what ever go I.
I'm back from a funeral, the mother of one of children's class mates died over the weekend leaving her husband and 4 children behind the youngest being twins who are only 11.
The church as the saying goes was black, as she was well known in the community and will be missed. Her husband looked heart broken and her eldest daughter tried to hold the family together and the boys just looked lost.
The most wonderful time of the year except when it's not and then it's really not.
